About
EDUCATION: My basic education was in SDVN, Nagaon and Cotton College, Guwahati (Science stream) with graduation from Nowgong College, Nagaon, Assam. I completed my Post-graduation (M.Sc) from Gauhati University, Guwahati in the year 2007.
I have been awarded the degree for Doctor of Philosophy by Gauhati University for my doctoral thesis “The heat is on: Estimating the urban heat island effect in Greater Guwahati area, Assam” in the year 2017.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Upon completion of post-graduation (2007), I was absorbed as a Technical Officer (GIS/RS) in En-Geo Consultancy & Research Centre, Guwahati and worked for the organisation for two years. In 2009, I joined OKD Institute of Social Change and Development (OKDISCD), Guwahati (a Research Institute of ICSSR and Govt. of Assam) as Junior Research Fellow.
During my tenure in OKDISCD, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2013. I was engaged in several Research and Capacity Development activities across the North-eastern States during my service at the Institute.
